The Winter months are harsh on the lips. They become sore, chapped and often pitted. The temptation to nibble the skin can become unbearable but don’t do it! As you know this is very painful, the lips bleed and they could even become infected.
To help prevent flaky skin it’s a good idea to keep the lips exfoliated just like any other part of the body. This removes the old dead skin, making way for new soft skin. Try the Body Shop’s Lipscuff this is extremely moisturising while still effective in removing flaky skin. Exfoliating the lips also helps to keep the lip surface even, perfect for applying lipcolour.
Apply the Lipscuff and gently rub the lips to exfoliate. Remove with a tissue. It is a good idea to exfoliate the lips 2-3 times a week then follow with a good quality lip balm or conditioner.
