The Neutrogena Wave isn’t normally the kind of cleansing system I would gravitate towards or probably recommend. On first inspection it appears gimmicky and too mechanical to be an effective yet gentle cleanser.
I would like to say that I was wrong. The Neurtrogena Wave’s cleansing pads are impregnated with a gentle cleanser which leaves the face feeling refreshed. The gentle vibrating of the massage wave is also soothing.
I had a slight problem with what I considered to be a strawberry nose and the Wave has certainly improved the blackhead/open pore situation on my nose. In fact I would be happy to say it improved it on first use and after 2 weeks of use the improvement continued but not as drastic as the first time.
With this in mind I would probably recommend the Neutrogena Wave for use for perhaps when you feel your face needs a blast and use your usual cleanser at other times. Although this makes the Wave sound harsh when it really isn’t and is designed for daily use.
The only draw back is that the wave cannot be used for the eye area so an eye makeup remove would be essential where as with many cleansers this would not be necessary.
In short if you have open pores and blackheads then give the Neutrogena Wave a go. However, if you do have sensitive skin then a patch test is always advisable.
Neutrogena Wave is available from Superdrug £12.72 for a starter pack
