The Body Shop uses Community Trade Marula Oil in most of their makeup. This is especially effective in the eyeshadows. The oil makes the eyeshadow blend with ease and helps disguise fine lines.
These new Shimmer Buds are fantastic. I particularly love the Peach Blossom and Blue Iris which really brings out the blue in my eyes. However, if you would like to open up the eyes and make them appear brighter try blending the Green Water Lilly across the base of the eye, softened up to the the eyebrow. Then use a dab of the Silver Maple on the inner corner of the eye.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is the best cleanser I have ever used. This is a bold statement but I would defy anybody who hasn’t tried this cleanser not to be an immediate convert after one use.
It doesn’t matter what type of skin you have even the most red and inflamed skin will benefit from this cleanser. I have recommended it to many people over the past few years and each and every one of them agree it is the best cleanser they have ever used. Most of them have continued to use the cleanser.
Are you converted yet? If not here are the active ingredients of Cleanse and Polish

I am all for saving endangered species and men are no exception to this rule. Of course men on the whole are not endangered but the man is in danger of evolving into a wrinkly, dried out prune if they don’t start looking after their skin.
Men are often more exposed to the elements (not all of them, just the odd few). Sun, sea and outdoor life can cause a terrible strain on the fiz-hogg and without the caring caress of a good moisturiser it is a slippery slope to Albert Steptoe look-a-like competitions.

The smell of roses may conjure images of a Summer’s day with bees flitting from flower to flower, a romantic gesture of a large bouquet delivered by a hansom man or a cosy cuddle from your gran. Whatever, your reason for loving Roses, they are quintessentially feminine.
This Rose Otto Shower Wash is so fragrant and so gorgoeus it fills the bathroom with the smell of romantic flowers and after showering the skin is moisturised and soft.

Brand New Spring 08
Paul & Joe have released three new lipsticks as part of their Spring 08 collection. As usual the packaging is gorgeous. I love it because, well it looks like my black cat on the tube. Is this a justifiable reason to buy a new lipstick. I think so. In fact who said you have to have a reason.
This colour is a gorgeous coral pink which will flatter most skin tones. Read More »

I have very short fair eyelashes and have always longed for dark fluttering lashes to entice the man of my desires. Consquently, I have tried dozens of thickening, extending all singing and dancing mascaras. Some work but most are just another mascara.
Avon’s Super Shock Mascara is my latest adventure in the world of fluttering. Avon have created this mascara based on the principle of the seperate white thickening cream and then the lengthening mascara. However, they have combined the two into one application.

L’Occitane Almond Show Oil is perfect product when time is short. As soon as the oil hits the water it becomes a sumptuous shower cream. It moisturises the skin whilst cleansing, a perfect solution for morning showers or after the gym when time is too short to apply a body lotion.
The shower oil can also be poured into a running bath to create a milky soft and luxurious bath. A wonderful “me time” product. I enjoyed a relaxing soak in the bath with a few candles and soothing music. I felt warm and relaxed after ready for a good night’s sleep.

My lips, so far, this Winter look like my pet hamster has quietly crept into my bedroom at night to give me a vigorous toothy kiss whilst I blissfully dreamt Johnny Depp had supplanted a juicy smackeroonie.
Consequently, my lips looked extremely pitted and a little sore. Then just over a month ago I discovered Benefit Smoooch. The best lip treatment I have ever used. With one application my lips were soft and the soreness greatly reduced.
But even better the next day and another application later my lips looked smooth, fresher and pinker. I even thought they looked more youthful. I honestly, would recommend Smoooch for anybody with a problematic hamster or with a tendency to bite their own lips.
